Jessica knew something needed to change and now her whole lifestyle has been transformed. The positive changes she has made to her training and nutrition have helped other areas of her life too. Before Real Results – Fitness & Performance, she felt like she had no structure or organization in her life, but training has now taught her the importance of routine and self-discipline.

Here Jessica shares the story of her journey after training in our 12-week Life Changer program.

What were your reasons and motivations for starting a transformation journey with Real results – fitness & performance?

I made the decision to start my journey at Real Results – Fitness & Performance because I had lost something inside me. I was uncomfortable in my own skin and no longer felt I had control over my health.  I am 4’11”, but weighed nearly 180 pounds. I wouldn’t look in the mirror because I was disgusted with how I let myself go. I wanted to find myself again. I wanted to bring back my outgoing and confident self back.  I finally stopped letting fear of failure rule me and made the choice to join their 6-week challenge in April 2017.

How you were feeling both physically and mentally before starting with Real Results – fitness & performance?

I was physically exhausted and couldn’t walk up stairs without becoming out of breath.  My knees and ankles were constantly in pain. I was mentally exhausted from the promises to commit and failing to follow through.  I focused on work because it kept me from focusing on my personal failures.

What was your diet and lifestyle like before you started your transformation with Real Results – fitness & performance?

I had such a sweet tooth; I ate cookies and cakes without regard for how much I was actually consuming.  I didn’t realize how many calories or carbs I was eating. I just stopped caring about what I would eat because I told myself I’d start a new diet the next day.

How did your diet and lifestyle change when you started your transformation with Real Results – fitness & performance?

My diet and lifestyle did a complete 180. I began to track my calories and macros. I cared about what I put into my body. I realized that with a little effort I could actually meal prep so that I could do my best to prepare for any temptations by having the right things to eat.

What effect did this have on your health, performance, lifestyle and energy inside and outside the gym?

I found myself again. I gained confidence in my personal life as well as my professional life.  I am proud of what I have accomplished and know that I can push myself further than I think I can go.  I have the energy, enthusiasm and vigor for life I thought I had lost.

What have been the biggest benefits of doing a transformation?

My fear of failure has significantly decreased.  I have been able to show myself that fear was holding me back.  Since joining the 12-week Life Changer program, I have made mistakes like cheating on my diet and failing a lift but now that doesn’t derail my journey.  It only strengthens my resolve to move forward stronger and more focused that before. I didn’t have that prior to joining the program.

What were your results like since joining the 12-week life changer program?

I have lost an additional 25.5 pounds (50 overall at Real Results), dropped 3 more sizes and gained muscle mass. I haven’t been the size I am now since high school.

What were the most important things you learned during your journey and what really worked for you in helping you make your transformation?

I have learned how to eat clean and how eating clean doesn’t have to be boring or plain.  I have learned what my body needs to be fueled and how I feel when I don’t eat the right things. Posting my food pictures and keeping a food journal have been essential to my progress.  Working out is only a small part of what keeps my body going. Fueling it with the right foods is the most important. I have also learned that I can do more than I think I can. If I don’t think I can do something, I won’t. I’ve already made the negative come true.  I can do anything and I really believe that now.

How has doing this transformation changed you and do you think it will benefit you going forward?

I have the tools to live a longer and healthier life that have made me feel better about myself.  This can only make me push towards my best self which is where my goals are driving me.

What makes the 12-week life changer program different and would you recommend it to others?

I would recommend the Real Results – Fitness & Performance and the 12-week Life Changer program to everyone!  This program keeps you accountable, provides you support to keep going despite missteps, and has given me more than I can express.  I put the work in but without Dustin and other women in the program I would have still been coasting along.
